Described as the pinterest or instagram of the pre 21st century, commonplace books are unique stores of thoughts, methods, information, and curiosities. These handwritten volumes – elaborate or plain and humble - have been used for centuries. Commonplace books are personal anthologies which reveal their creator’s likes, interests, values and relationships.
