Go straight to 'New Events Form', if you have already read this page.

Because this is yet another new Events process, we are sorry but you first need to create a new user login. This was brought about by annoying spammers. Click the 'Create an Account' option in the login area (right-hand-side for most users).

A 12+ character password is required, but please don't use 'alongpassword', or anything similar. We prefer you include at least 1 capital and 1 number. You will be requested to respond to a confirmation Email before you can login. If this creates problems for you (eg email not received), I (webmaster) can create a login for you; just send a request via the contact form.

Once logged in, you can create an Event, so click the link at the top or bottom of this page ('new events form'). I hope to include this link in the Main Menu soon. The following dot points describe how best to fill in the Event Fields for the best result. As always, if you have problems, I am usually available to help, just use the Contact form to message me.

The New Events Form Fields:

  • Title - required. Should explain exactly what the Event is about in just a few words.
  • Calendar - do not enter anything here.
  • Colour - do not enter anything here.
  • URL - your website address for more information. An entry is desirable to help visitors.
  • Start Date and Time - format 03.08.2022.   19:00.
  • End Date and Time - same as above.
  • Show End Time - we prefer this be left as is.
  • All Day? - can be set to 'yes' if Event is for several hour, eg 9am to 5pm or longer.
  • Scheduling - not active because we have the free version of this module.
  • Description - A 'free form' text box. You should explain the event in some more detail, where to go for more information or further enquiry, and any booking requirements. Especially note whether the Event is on-line or in-person, in which case you should include the location details. Note that our Events page cannot accept bookings. so you need to explain how people can register, if required. You could add info about disability access, what indigenous lands the event is on, and any other essential information that will make it easier for attendees.

The remaining titles are not active at this stage, including the location map. Will update again soon.

Help to enter information for this event.

Many sponsors help with the administration of Family History Month (NFHM), and with providing prizes that are available each year. AFFHO is very grateful for this support. Sponsors that have confirmed for this year are listed below, followed by the Logo's of other recent sponsors. This page will be updated as more sponsors confirm. The Covid-19 pandemic is still causing disruption to both sponsors and the many organisations that run events during National Family History Month.

National Family History Month is only possible because of the generous support of our major sponsors and prize sponsors. Although some regular sponsors were unable to contribute in 2021, their support in past years has been greatly appreciated. They also assist NFHM with promotion and publicity through their own e-newsletters, blogs and social media outlets. Please visit their websites by clicking on the links below, and buy/use their products if you can.
