Family History ACT Heritage Matters Exhibition

This exhibition showcases the evolution of Family History ACT over the past 55+ years and what this means to family history researchers in the ACT and more broadly.

Featuring many photographs, artefacts and ephemera from the Societies beginnings, through cemetery picnics, roadshows, conferences and congresses and on going projects on heritage and heraldry in the ACT.

A series of talks will be held during the Exhibition, with Family History ACT volunteers present and happy to answer questions. Scheduled talks are:

Saturday 7 August, 2pm An Introduction to Family History and Family History ACT with Rosemary McKenzie

Saturday 14 August, 2pm DNA – helping you build your family tree with Marilyn Woodward

Saturday 21 August, 2pm Making the most of the big online genealogy databases with Ann Peut

Saturday 28 August, 2pm Using photographs and images in family history with Barb Toohey & Sue Pillans

The Exhibition and presentations are being held at the ACT Heritage Library, 255 Canberra Avenue, Fyshwick, ACT.
