Meet NFHM 2016 Prize Sponsors

In our last blog post we looked at our major sponsors – see it again here.

This time we will be getting to know our prize sponsors. There are two different groups in the prize giveaway – first is genealogy/family history societies who have entered events into the NFHM web calendar and second, individuals who live in Australia. Each prize sponsor has designated which group or groups can apply for their prizes.

Societies

All societies with events in the web calendar go into the draw for prizes marked societies only. Sponsors in this category include:

• AFFHO are offering a year’s membership to non member societies in every state or territory
• Biographical Database of Australia is offering a 12 month subscription to be used on only one society computer terminal only
• FindersCafe are offering 3 Flip Pal mobile scanners for eligible history related organisations who “Publish” the most “Threads” during August. You will find the idea behind Finders Cafe on YouTube “Finders Cafe”. It is free to use and you retain copyright. The top 3 will each receive a Flip Pal mobile scanner. To be eligible for the prizes, simply register as an  “Individual Member”, then start an “Organisation” account, by going to the Finders Cafe home page, at the bottom and click “Join us – Organisations”.
• Gould Genealogy & History are offering an all Australian national and state directories collection
• Inside History magazine are offering one 12 month subscription
• Momento one gift voucher to the value of $350
• Preservation Australia is offering one prize of archival storage products to the value of $200 to be chosen by the winning society

Individuals

Individuals living in Australia can enter the giveaway by sending their name, post code and listing the prize/prizes they would like to win. Sponsors in this category include:

• Ancestry with ten 12 month subscriptions to World Heritage
• Australian Family Tree Connections with one 12 month subscription
• FamilySearch one prize of a portable photo scanner and slide scanner
• GenEbooks two $50 vouchers

Entry to the prizes giveaway starts on 1 August and closes on 28 August. Prizes will be drawn on 31 August at a seminar at Noosaville Library in Queensland and winners will be notified by email. Winner’s names will also be listed on the NFHM website.
